    Let’s Not Forget About Color

    April 4th, 2012 by bujes.marketing

I was asked the other day to look in the store for silver baby gifts. My first response was confusion. Are silver baby gifts common? Why would someone need to buy a silver baby gift? What does the color matter? I don’t have any kids, so sometimes I’m not as hip as the other parents. I was walking through the store the other day and it hit me. Silver is a neutral tone or shade. Parents who don’t know or don’t want to know the sex of their child might want a neutral tone for some of the toys. It’s better than buying a bunch of pink toys and finding out that the child is a boy. Yet, for all the advantages silver seems to have, I can’t help but feel bad for the baby. Don’t kids want real colorful toys to attract their interest? It seems like most babies would want real bright colors. Bright colors are exciting, and I feel like a bunch of silver toys would bore a child. I know I love bright colors. I think having silver toys would be a bit of a drag. I guess there is an up and down to each side. I just hope some other friends buy the baby something with some color on it.
